Center for Entrepreneurship
The University of Washington, Bothell (UWB) Center for Student Entrepreneurship (CSE) was established with the goal of helping our students become successful entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial employees. Entrepreneurs are broadly defined by Kawasaki (Art of the Start) as:
Guys and gals creating the next company;
Brave souls that are birthing new products and services to market;
Saints starting schools, churches, and not-for-profits,
And Adventurers who work for them!
UWB has a proud tradition of student entrepreneurs. See our salute in the Puget Sound Business Journal. Over 43 companies have been birthed out of CSE affiliated students and alums. Several alumni companies representing a variety of fields — information technology, financial lending, dance, bicycle manufacturing, specialty foods, clothing, manufacturing — are CSE partners.
The CSE is guided by an advisory board that reviews and helps coordinate the priorities and activities of the center. In addition, an Entrepreneurship Fund has been established to support student startups with small seed grants and guidance. The Entrepreneurship Fund Trustees are charged with recommending student awards, providing guidance to fund applicants, reviewing Center financials, and building the fund.
We invite your interest in the Center either by making a donation or with your valuable involvement. More than your money, however, we want your heart.
Join the winning team!
